From 4th to 9th March in Hannover, Germany was held CeBIT 2008 - the world's largest and most prestigious fair in the area of telecommunications and information technologies. The accent of this year's event was Green IT - a forum designed to put the ICT industry in touch with the relevant aspects of climate protection. Nearly 6000 exhibitors from 77 countries took part in the event and the attendance this year was up to three percent over the previous year, totaling 495,000 visitors. more

Student wins the BASSCOM tournament, round from the programming contest of Musala Soft and PC Magazine

For a sixth consecutive year the Bulgarian Association of Software Companies (BASSCOM) organized a programming tournament, held as a third round of the private programming contest of Musala Soft and PC Magazine Bulgaria. First in the ranking is Bojidar Penchev, student in "Computer Sciences" at Sofia University. He took a prize of 1500 BGN. Bojidar is winning the BASSCOM tournament for the very first time, as well as he has never leaded a round of the competition till now. Apart from Informatics, in his spare time he enjoys playing football and jogging.  more

Musala Soft is the first Bulgarian company certified at CMMI Level 2 version 1.2

Musala Soft completed successfully the certification at Level 2 of Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and became the first company in Bulgaria, which passed estimation at the new version SCAMPI A v1.2 of the model. In the scope of the certification were estimated the processes of software development in the company, management of projects, management of the configuration, management of the quality, etc. Processes are integrated part of the thoroughly built and constantly improved for several years internal system of quality management in Musala Soft. Mentioned system was firstly certified at ISO 9001:2000, followed by ITMark certification and presently at CMMI model.  more

Two gold and one silver medal for Bulgaria at the 19th International Olympiad in Informatics

The Bulgarian national team of Informatics won three medals, two golden and one silver, at the 19th International Olympiad in Informatics which took place in Zagreb, Croatia. From 15 to 21 March in Hannover was held CeBIT 2007 – the most prestigious international fair in the area of telecommunications and information technologies. After the considerable negative indicators in certain fields outlined in 2006, this year the exhibition succeeded in changing the declining trend. Musala Soft has won the competition for “IT project 2006” with Business Intelligence solution

On January 24th, on an official ceremony in “Radisson” Hotel – Sofia, were bestowed the awards for the “IT project” competition, which was conducted for a third consecutive year. The initiative is organized by Computerworld Magazine, with the support of First Investment Bank and its purpose is to popularize the experience of the IT Industry in Bulgaria. In 2006, over 30 projects competed for prizes in two categories. In category “Enterprises”, the jury assigned first place to the Business Intelligence solution of OMV Bulgaria, elaborated by the software companies – Musala Soft and BTS – Business Technology and Software.  more

Beginning of the biggest university students competition in informatics in the world

Bulgaria participates with teams from Sofia University, Plovdiv University, Technical University Varna and American University in Bulgaria in the regional qualifications for the finals of ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) – the biggest university students competition in informatics in the world taking place in Bucharest, Romania. The competition is among 1000 teams form all over the world, where the first 64 go to the finals. Last year 2 Bulgarian teams from Sofia University won the first 2 places at regional level which guaranteed them participation in the world finals.

Musala Soft obtains ISO Certification

On the May 5th after a successfully finished certification audit Musala Soft got ISO certified. The company meets ISO 9000:2000, ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 9004:2000 standards for quality management with scope "Analysis, design, implementation and technical support of information systems".

The certification was completed by BVQI Bulgaria, branch of BVQI International, a world wide leader in Systems Certification Services.

National Olympiad in Informatics 2004
