Musala Soft with an anti-crisis measure: Mathematics in Industry    (българска версия)

"Nowadays Mathematics has to be a leading element in the industry because it can lead to quick innovations." - said Kraicho Kraichev, Project Manager in Musala Soft during an international conference held in Sofia.

The conference "Mathematics in Industry" was attended by prominent world experts in Mathematics, who discussed the use of science in software code's analysis and development. Besides the pure academic discussions, business results in commercial projects were demonstrated.

The textile leader "Edoardo Miroglio" reduced drastically the maintenance costs after a system migration from IBM Mainframe Cobol to modern Unix (IBM AIX) platform. Plenty of scientific approaches for automation, acceleration and quality improvement of migration were used in the project.

The scientific work was conducted by the "Center for Innovations and Applied Research" - Musala Soft together with assoc. prof. Neli Maneva, Institute of Mathematics and Informatics at Bulgarian Academy of Science and Nikolay Grozev, Musala Soft.

"Bulgaria's future is in the innovations - they reduce costs and that is essential in the current economic situation. Innovations are the driving force which creates and maintains the leaders." - shared Elena Marinova, President of the company.

The international conference "Mathematics in Industry" (http://www.math.bas.bg/MathInIndustry/home.php) celebrated the 20th anniversary of European Mathematical Society (EMS). Event's organizers were EMS, the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics at Bulgarian Academy of Science, the Union of Bulgarian Mathematicians and general sponsor - Musala Soft. The Conference was organized under the patronage of the Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism, Mr. Traycho Traykov and Mrs. Tsetska Tsacheva, President of the 41st National Assembly of Bulgaria opened the forum.
