Two silver and two bronze medals for Bulgaria at the 20th International Olympiad in Informatics     (BG version)

The Bulgarian national team of Informatics returned with 4 medals from the 20th International Olympiad in Informatics, which took place from 16 to 23 August in Cairo, Egypt. This year's team - Momchil Tomov, Rumen Hristov, Martin Marinov and Stefan Avramov continued the Bulgarian tradition of strong presence at the international competitions in the field of informatics. Bulgaria finished 14th in the unofficial overall standings.

Rumen Hristov and Momchil Tomov won silver medals, while Martin Marinov and Stefan Avramov were awarded the bronze.

The team and their leaders were welcomed with presents by representatives of Musala Soft at the Sofia airport. Like every year, the company attested its respect towards the achievements of the Bulgarian talents and wished them even more success in the future. Three of the guys participated in the private programming contest of Musala Soft and PC Magazine Bulgaria, while Rumen even won second place in this year's final round.

Next year, the Olympiad will take place in Bulgaria, and the town of Plovdiv will gather talents of all over the world. The event is of a great importance for our country because it will celebrate twenty years after the first International Olympiad in Informatics, held in Pravetz in 1989.
