(българска версия)
London, 2-4.06.2008
The Gartner Outsourcing & IT Services Summit took place in London from 2nd to 4th of June. It represents a highly specialized forum revealing the trends in the field of IT services and outsourcing as leading phenomena in the contemporary world. Delyan Lilov, CEO of Musala Soft, participated at the event as the only representative of a Bulgarian IT company, attending the conference.
During the sessions and presentations of leading Gartner analysts and representatives of the biggest enterprises in the field of IT, several trends for the business's future were outlined. The main stream is the multisourcing - an approach where strategic partnerships are built with a small group of companies as an alternative of engagements with just one supplier. Special attention is paid to the industrialization of services with low added value such as call centers, where the main focus is the operational effectiveness. The opposite trend is typical in the area of services with high added value (IT consultancy and system development), where the focused providers are gaining broad knowledge about business particularities and their customers' needs. They are also capable of being valuable partners contributing to the competitiveness of their clients.
"The differentiation between organizations having the role of integrators and offering a broad set of IT and non-IT oriented services at international level, and the focused companies building competences in a specific field by becoming centers of expertise, is increasing. Gartner analysis confirms that in a few years the expenditure for IT development and consulting will constitute the biggest part of IT expenses in organizations and therefore that is the segment having the biggest growth. At Musala Soft we are constantly keeping up-to-date in regard to tendencies and are trying to manage our business by foreseeing the upcoming trends." - commented Delyan Lilov.
At the event there was strong presence of the big service integrator companies such as IBM, Fujitsu Services, Hewlett-Packard, Logica, Siemens IT Solutions and Services, T-Systems, Unisys, which demonstrated interest towards expansion of their portfolio of centers of competence in Eastern Europe.
