On the 11th of October at the Press Club of the Bulgarian News Agency was held a conference announcing the start of the 12th edition of the programming contest organized by PC Magazine and Musala Soft. Among the special guests were representatives of the partners, supporting the event.

The organizers discussed curious details about previous editions of the contest and announced that this year besides the traditional rounds of Microsoft and BASSCOM (Bulgarian Association of Software Companies), The Bulgarian Association for Computational Linguistics (BAKL) will join the contest. For a second consecutive year the Bulgarian Association of Software Developers (BASD) will be a co-organizer in one of the tournaments.

Maia Hristova, Academic Developer Manager in Microsoft Bulgaria and Maya Marinova, Executive secretary of BASSCOM stated once again, the strong orientation of the organizations they represent towards IT education. Although BACL and BASD didn't personally attend the conference they wished a lot of success to the programming contest for the future.

The interest of journalists was attracted by the participants from previous editions as well. Among them were experienced software engineers and people who are not professionals in the IT sector. "We participate because of the interesting problems." - commented for the media some of the participants.
