On May 31st in the Internet Cafe "Southern Cross" in Sofia took place the final round of this year's programming contest organized by Musala Soft and PC Magazine Bulgaria. 87 young programmers solved problems at home and sent them during the previous six rounds but only 12 of them qualified for the final one.

The participants had to work hard during the four hours of the final round to solve the problem of the jury but their effort was rewarded. The first ranked Radoslav Gerganov already has a new computer, the participant on the second place Vladimir Ralev received a HP Deskjet 3650 printer and the award for the third ranked Valentin Mihov was a Norton Systemworks 2003 package. All participants also received many other awards from the sponsors of the contest.

"As one of the main sponsors of the contest, I am happy about its growing popularity not only among the young programmers in Bulgaria but also among the organizations from the IT industry." shared Elena Marinova, President of Musala Soft. "As you know, BASSCOM (Bulgarian Association of the Software Companies) and Microsoft Bulgaria joined us as main sponsors for two of the rounds and that is evidence that everyone in the IT industry supports the Bulgarian education and strives to give the talented young programmers more opportunities for development."
